Mt.
Wudang, one of famous Taoist mountains
in China, lies in the northwest of Hubei Province. The winding road to Mt.Wudang
offers a multitude of dramatic vista from uniue mountain ranges, peaks, strange-looking
cliffs, craggy ravines to sprawling Taoist Monasteries built in a Chinese traditional
style in the Ming Dynasty with roadside pullouts along the way that allow you
to stop and admire not only the beauty of the Wudang's vast sun-drenched
wilderness
but also the architectural beauty of Taoist monasteries. Mountain lifts take
you through picturesque mountain ranges and valleys to the Tianzhufeng
(Heavenly Peak),the highest attraction about 1612 meters above sea level, where
the striking silhouette of a massive Golden Summit dominates the skyline and
stir up your imagination. Mt. Wudang is a spectacular attraction of unspoilt
beauty,
where
the mood and rhythm of natural beauties changes from one area to another, and
from season to season. Major places of interest are: Golden Boy's Peak, Jade
Lady's Peak, Purple-Clouds Monastery, South-Crag Palace, Needle-Sharpening Well
and Golden Summit. Duration of days there: 2 or 3 days.
