Tianzhushan
( Mountain of Heavenly Pillar ), about
1488 meters above sea level, perched southwest of Anqing City, Anhui Province,
is a well-known scenic beauty offering you a unique opportunity to see outstanding
wonders of nature. In a sprawling exuberantly verdant area of Tianzhushan,
you will see many spectacular mountain peaks, fascinating ranges, amazing cliffs,
strange-looking crags, dancing waterfalls and beautiful caves. In addition,
this state nature park provides a tranquil retreat on meandering trails through
the old-growth forest. The awesome mountain views, lush trees and fresh air
are ideal to all types of travelers. The main scenic spots: 3-Ancestor Temple,
Stone Ox and Cave, Heavenly Pillar Cedar, Mystery Ravines and Lake of Alchemy.
The two easy peak chair rides, one at the Tianzhushan and another at
the Black-Dragon Ravine, carry you in succession to the mountain scenic
area. Open 07:00am - 06:00pm, if weather permitting. When you disembark the
Yangtze cruise in Wuhan, plan to spend a couple of days at Tianzhushan.
Duration of days there: 2 or 3 days.
